'Unreleased' Features (Originally Created 09/09/2003) - 11/19/2004
I've decided to make today's posting of pictures sort of like the Special Features section of DVDs where you get behind the scene information and stuff. In fact you'll even get the director's commentary for each drawing! =)
Here are two 'conceptual' drawings of our favorite brown haired antagonist of Unscripted Feature... As you can see, we've come a long long way! Some say that she looks like a certain ex-girlfriend of mine. I see no resemblence.
Here I changed her lips to red. I didn't feel she looked feminine enough in the first one without the red lips. You'll also see she's got eye lashes... I decided to drop those in later drawings. They just didnt look right for some reason. And the spaghetti hair? Had to go! Brown haired girl also eventually gets a ribbon or whatever it is girls like to put in their hair.
The following is the brown haired girl's cat... He actually made his way into the developing story untouched. Unfortunately, the cat is really ugly, so I never let it rear its face again. I purposely made the cat white because Vladdy-V (aka Cat-Gut) is not white. I also made his eyes somewhat crooked for personality.
Here the original story line for Unscripted Feature begins to play out in my head... Of course guys burn their money to impress girls! Isnt it obvious? Anyhow, you can see his smile in the corner of the picture stretches across his face. Future drawings would eventually have smaller mouths.
Anyhow, at this point in September 2003, I decided that it was time to go ahead and redraw my comic heroes... This time instead of using the mouse (which I have awful control over), I opt to use my Thinkpad's Trackpoint. It ended up being a wise decision. From here, the rest is history!
